Our name comes from the noun Type, meaning ‘a category of people or things having common characteristics’. Everything we make is developed to strict design criteria to ensure consistency and alignment with our environmental ambitions.

We can only achieve our planet positive purpose, if we embrace making and finishing designs ‘by the hand’. Human touch is paramount to sorting materials, checking quality and ultimately, in shaping desirable designs.
